Introduction
Welcome to My AS-Level Media Studies Blog
Hi, I’m Hoorain Fatima this blog is where I’ll be sharing my journey through AS-Level Media Studies.i belong from roots international and well I will say I am so excited to learn . Well I shall also say that hence I am starting my blogs in November a little more than late compared to my classmates hence it will be effecting my timeline but I am determined to showcase whatever I will learn . This subject has always fascinated me because it allows me to explore how communication, technology, and creativity come together to shape the world we live in. Media is all around us from film and television to social media and advertising and I’ve always been curious about how these platforms influence opinions, represent people, and tell stories in powerful ways.
I chose Media Studies because I wanted to understand not only how media content is created but also why it affects us so strongly . growing up I like any other have consumed media in all forms hence .I love analysing visual and written techniques, exploring representation, and discovering how audiences interpret messages differently. The creative side of this subject also really appeals to me , especially planning, filming, and editing my own productions.
Alongside Media, I chose to study Computing because I believe the two subjects complement each other perfectly. In today’s digital world, technology and media are deeply connected , from video editing software and digital design to algorithms that shape the content we see online. Combining both subjects allows me to understand media from both a creative and technical perspective. It also gives me valuable skills for the future, where digital media continues to grow and evolve every day.it will be hard because both of these subjects needs a lot of time but as they say if theres a will theres a way.
Through this blog, I’ll document my research, creative work, and reflections as I progress through the course. I hope to use this space to develop my ideas, share my projects, and explore how media and technology can be used to inform, inspire, and connect people.
Everything here is my original work and part of my official Cambridge Media coursework portfolio.
I share mood boards, storyboards, film analyses, opening sequences, and reflections that show how I’m learning and developing my skills.
Welcome to my space | I hope you enjoy the journey with me.
