SOUND EDITING AND AUDIO CONSTRUCTION

Image
Sound played an important role in the creation of my film opening because it helped build atmosphere and guide the audience’s emotions. After filming the visuals, I focused on editing and constructing the audio so that it matched the tone and mood of the scene. I used Adobe Express to organise and adjust the sound during the editing process. The first step was making sure the audio matched the visuals properly. I placed the sound so that it aligned with the actions happening on screen. This was important because if sound and visuals are not synchronized, the scene can feel unrealistic or distracting for the audience. I used 'freesound.org' to import the SFX that I had to use. I used different risers in order to engage the audience. I also think the sound madeup for any of the mistakes I made during shooting. The sound effect where Lucy hears a something drops and is caught off guard was real and helped me create tension in the movie. Overall, sound editing and audio construc...

EDITING PROCESS AND TRANSITIONS

Image
After filming my opening sequence, the next important stage was the editing process. Editing allowed me to shape the raw footage into a smooth and engaging film opening. I used Adobe Express to edit my clips because it is easy to use while still offering useful tools to organise and improve the footage.Once the clips were arranged in the correct order, I focused on transitions between the shots. Transitions are important because they help scenes flow smoothly from one moment to the next. In my video the transition were mostly soft and dissolved into eachother or it was strong dip to black. overall trimming the videos and applying transitions gave me a smooth video.

ROUGH CUT

Image
I made a rough cut for my video just to know what I need to improve and add aswell. i took feedback on it from friends and teachers and after carefully listening I actually changed some things and added new elements. I heard a lot of positive response aswell . according to some the sound effects were right on point and the actually wanted the whole movie on this story. In my own opinion I think I did a pretty good job assuming this was my first ever try but still I think I can improve. I had a great time shooting and I learned a lot from it.

EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE PLANNING

Image
For the shooting of my final opening scene I used specific softwares and equipments in order to finalize my project. I used the canon t7 rebel camera with the Lens 18mm to 20mm which I think is perfect for a beginner who is just starting filming .it was easy to handle so I could focus more on framing and capturing. after the shoot was complete the most important thing was obviously editing the raw clips. I used Adobe express to edit all of my video. I played with different transitions , fonts , sounds and especially color grading. I already knew the basics of editing so it was not that hard for me to edit the video but still playing around with it and trying different things made me more confidence in about my final video.

CHARACTER PROPS

Props: Backpack, laptop, headphones. Set Props: Couch, chair, desk, lamp. Background Props: Plants, wall art, books. Interactive Props: laptop, door , mouse. A Tiny Mistake I Learned From: At first, I forgot consider cables and chargers for the laptop. It might sound small, but a blank screen on set can totally ruin a shot. Lesson learned: always check electronics as props!

SCHEDULING AND TIME LINE

Schedule & Timeline  Final Film Opening Planning out my schedule and timeline for my AS Level Media Studies final film opening was something I did not take seriously at first. I honestly believed filming would be fast and easy but during the experience I learned how essential a schedule is for production. Pre-Production For pre-production I made a loose schedule for developing ideas, storyboarding, and shot planning. I gave myself due dates on when to find my location, costumes, and props. One mistake that I could improve on was not allowing myself enough time to perfect my storyboard. I may have rushed myself a bit in that stage because I found some shots were a little confusing to film. Although my shots were not as clear as I wanted them to be, I still benefited from having something to work off of and kept me organized. Production Production scheduling had to accommodate school hours and my actors’ availability. One issue I encountered was not allowing myself enough ...

ACTOR EXPERIENCE

Playing the victim in a murder movie as the main actor was a very emotional journey for me. I had to show fear, pain, and the feeling of being trapped, which was difficult but meaningful. While acting, I often felt vulnerable, especially in scenes where my character knew something bad was about to happen. Some moments stayed in my mind even after the shoot ended. This role pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me understand how important true emotions are in acting. It made me more confident and taught me how powerful a story can be when it feels real to the audience. working with the director was beyond amazing she explained everything so simply that I didn't even ha to act it was genuine emotions. while acting I really put myself on the test of actually becoming Lucy which the actor I played. acting was a thing for me since forever like I really wanted to be an actor . overall it was fun roleplaying and I hope you enjoy it as well.           ...

Final Story board

Image
The storyboard shows Lucy coming home tired and finally relaxing in her quiet apartment. She starts downloading a game on her laptop, and at first everything feels normal. After some time, a strange sound makes her uneasy. The game begins showing creepy messages like “I wanna play with you” and “Look behind you,” making it feel like something is watching her. She tries to close it, but it doesn’t work. Things get more intense when she hears her name whispered and the lights suddenly go out. In the end, disturbing crime scene images appear, suggesting something terrible has happened, ending with the line “the game begins.”
