It starts on a crowded Los Angeles freeway where everyone’s stuck in traffic phones out, windows down, heat blazing. Then, out of nowhere, one driver hops out, and suddenly the entire highway turns into a massive musical stage. What’s so brilliant about this scene is how it transforms something super ordinary such as a traffic jam into something magical. What started as silent black-and-white clips has turned into high-def, CGI-filled blockbusters that we can stream anytime, anywhere. I chose Media Studies because I’ve always been fascinated by how powerful media can be in influencing opinions, trends, and even cultural values.
