COLOR GRADING

Colour grading is the process of adjusting and enhancing the colours, brightness, and contrast of video footage during editing in order to create a consistent visual style and mood for the film.Colour grading was an important part of the editing process because it helped improve the visual quality of my film opening. The first step in colour grading was adjusting the brightness and contrast of the clips. Some shots appeared slightly darker than others due to changes in lighting during filming, so I corrected them to make the visuals look balanced. This helped ensure that the scene looked smooth and continuous rather than uneven.I also made small adjustments to the colour tones to create the mood I wanted for the opening. since I heavily relied on artificial lights I had to increase the contrast and dim the brightness a bit in order to create a dark thriller look to fit my genre. overall color grading helped me set an un even vibe to the movie it helped me improve the representation of my film.
